Horsemart Antics

Hello to all regular and new users. I thought as the website has been up and running since 1998 it was time to give our users a regular blog comment. Let you know what is going on here and any horse antics that may be of interest.

OK, so who made a special effort yesterday with Valentines day? Last night my stables was like a ghost town. All those that have partners but are normally up there till late riding had made an effort to get home pronto - it would have been the perfect evening to school my horse. With the torrential rain I opted to lunge.

Riding in our school at night I swear you need public liability insurance! You have at least 1 horse being lunged, 3 being schooled and there is always one that is throwing itself around.

So come on there what did everyone do for their partners? Any proposals?

I decided being single this time of year definitely has its benefits. Last year I got it so wrong, my partners birthday was around valentines so I treated him to a nice night out in London with the works. This year my pockets are a bit fuller.

What did other singletons do?
The idea of putting on a good romantic comedy, bottle of wine and microwave meal for one was very tempting - but then it is like any other night in! Being serious, I had a nice bit of steak cooked for me, long soak in the bath, chilled out and phoned a few friends.

So what has been happening here recently? Well we now have a blog. Regular users will notice we have now added new categories:- £1000 and under and also £5000 and over. to make it Advertisers can now upload a video image of their horse, which you'll find increase the views to your advert.
We have also re-launched our stallion site www.stallionsatstud.co.uk. We are pleased with how things are progressing on both sites.

We are in the process of setting up a forum to run on the site.
If you have an event that you would like to advertise this is free to place.

We would love to hear your comments and suggestions.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the website, it is great for finding a horse. Its a shame we can not save our searches on the site. I visit a couple of times a day and have to put in my search criteria everytime. Other than that the site is great and easy to use. The blog made me chuckle and could definately relate to it

I find it funny that there are several people that claim to be private advertisers on your site, but when you do a search for a horse, they seem to have 2-3 for sale of the same type. Just co-incidence???..................

LOVE THE WEB SITE!
Sold my trailer in less than 2 weeks thanks to HORSEMART.
Suggestion: Could adverts indicate if they have multiple pics (same as it indicates if there is a video clip?

THANKS

BEST WISHES TO ALL!

Good morning,
In response to the comment on trade advertisers. By law they should be stating that they are a trade advertiser. We are in the process of changing our place an ad system. Anyone that has advertised more than 3 horses within a certain time will automatically be classified as trade advertiser. I am hoping that this will resolve matters

Great site, really easy to move around, clear and concise - BUT your events diary is all messed up with events showing in the wrong regions, which as you know is no good to the advertiser or potential entrant

Wow, great new magazine! I like the fact it is weekly so I can pencil in my weekends to go and few potential horses in the magazine. Previously I had used Horse Deals but being monthly it meant searching a horse in one weekend over the whole month.
